Modified Dreadnought (MD)

The Specifics

This guitar is pretty much my flagship guitar. It is the instrument that started it all for me, and allowed me to learn about what a guitar can sound like while studying with Ervin Somogyi, and more importantly, educated me on what my guitars can sound like as I took what I learned at Ervin’s and adapted it to my own desires in terms of tonality, playability, and response. It is a combination of the robust sound we associate with a dreadnought guitar, however this “modified” version has a relocated waist that is a bit tighter than normal, and a different sized sound hole which helps redefine the guitar as more of a fingerstyle instrument, while still maintaining the versatility for other styles of playing. This guitar has everything a performing musician could want…deep, resonant bass, balanced mid range, and beautiful, warm trebles coupled with projection and clarity that allow the musician to realize the complete dynamic range of their music and playing style.
